Students Welfare
An elaborate Orientation Program for First-Year students helps to allay fears and dispel anxiety and concerns in the minds of the freshers. This program includes an interactive session, wherein the new students and their parents are permitted to discuss their concerns with senior administrative officers. A presentation on student’s well-being and stress management is a component of this program. Students welfare receives top priority. MGMCRI realizes that the maintenance and promotion of the physical and mental health of the student community are as important as acquiring knowledge and skills. The Students Welfare Committee closely supervises the well-being of our medical students. Counseling services are available for students who experience adjustment problems. Complying with an approach towards salutogenesis for holistic development and grooming the well-rounded personality of the aspiring medical professionals, yoga practice has been promulgated for all the students of medicine. This unique endeavor is the brainchild of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, Prof. S.C.Parija. MGMCRI benefits from the services rendered by the nationally and internationally acclaimed Centre For Yoga Therapy Education and Research (CYTER), a center under the ambit of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth. Besides this, an equally accomplished center of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, namely Centre For Music Therapy Education and Research (CMTER) promotes activities related to salutogenesis for students. The administration has regular liaison with the parents of the students with regard to the well-being of their wards. ZERO TOLERANCE FOR RAGGING sums up the tenet of MGMCRI in upholding student welfare and safety.
