The department has a spacious, clean and well equipped OPD and ward for providing both emergency and elective surgical care. The department is well equipped to manage basic as well as advanced Cataract surgeries, Vitreous and Retina surgeries, Oculoplastic and Squint surgeries. LASER services and Intra-vitreal injections are also available.

Cataract surgeries such as Phacoemulsification, Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery, Refractive cataract surgery and surgery on complicated cataracts are performed by competent surgeons. 

Corneal and external eye diseases, anterior segment trauma and ocular surface disorders including dry eye, contact lens related eye problems and refractive surgery services are evaluated.

Evaluation and treatment of patients with Glaucoma and other diseases characterised by increased pressure in the eye and/or glaucomatous atrophy of the optic nerve are followed-up.

Detection and evaluation of patients with symptoms of double vision due to stroke, compressive lesions of the brain or Myasthenia gravis, visual loss due to diseases such as optic neuritis are promptly dealt with.

A variety of eyelid disorders including malpositions (Ptosis, Entropion, Ectropion), benign and malignant eyelid tumours, facial dystonias are evaluated frequently.

Speciality clinics for evaluation of a plethora of retinal diseases including vitreo-retinal surgeries are performed on a regular basis.
