The department of Medical gastroenterology was started on 27th August 2014 and has just completed one year of patient service. It Provides both Inpatient and outpatient care for various Gastrointestinal, liver and pancreatic diseases. In the short span of one year (till September 2015) the department have seen 2421 out patients, admitted and treated 157 patients and performed 1305 Upper GI endoscopies and 154 colonoscopies, has done many therapeutic endoscopic procedures including esophageal stentings and enteral stentings and the number keeps increasing.
