Level 3 Intensive Care Unit

Our ICU is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to monitor and intervene in patients at the bedside. It has high fidelity monitoring systems (continuous  EEG, cardiac monitoring devices), precise drug administration equipment (infusion and syringe pumps), high-end mechanical ventilators, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) machines and point-of-care ultrasound machine. The ICU works on “The Closed ICU Model” principle.

Team

The ICU is 24×7 manned by a well-experienced, qualified team of doctors at the different medical hierarchy. The staff nurses are specially trained in taking care of sick patients and maintain a 1:1 patient-nurse ratio. The ICU team ensures to maintain up-to-date high level of knowledge in the advancement of critical care medicine.

Dedicated Ward Managers

We have dedicated ICU ward managers to resolve insurance, billing and other distressing logistics of family members who are already stressed out and having mental trauma due to their sick loved ones admitted in ICU.

Video Conferencing Facility

Family members of sick ICU patient can sit outside ICU and see their loved ones through video conferencing facility.

Counselling Room

Our ICU team has a separate counselling room provided to conduct daily counselling sessions with family members of patients admitted in ICU. The room provides a space where confidential information can be discussed with the family. The room is conducive to offer comfortable sitting arrangements which make family members feel like an important part of the Doctor- Patient-Family communication loop.

Facility for Students

The department houses a separate seminar room with audio-visual aids to facilitate teaching and training session. Apart from this, the department also has a separate library with a high-speed internet connection with wide collection of books and journals.
